A delight to highlight my little sister in the faith, Catherine. Our first meeting was during this 2020 pandemic at a Chick-fil-A drive-thru a few miles from my house! It was her pleasure to serve me and my pleasure to meet her π.
Catherine’s parents are from South Korea, but she and her older sister were born in New York. She and her family moved to Georgia when Catherine was a baby and a few years later, her little sister was born π€.
She just started longboarding with her co-worker and it has become her newest hobby π.
Catherine is a team member at a Chick-fil-A in Newnan, GA and will be attending Georgia State University as a freshman this coming fall. How exciting!!! Congrats πββοΈ!
Her dream is to pursue a career in film ππ½π¬ and maybe start her own business, but she’s not sure what type of business yet π€·ββοΈ.
Right now if she could do anything, Catherine would love to travel and take picturesπππΌ! She has always wanted to visit Korea and live in New York City π½ because that’s where she was born π€. And because she loves the cityπ!
Catherine’s favorite subject has always been math. Her favorite artists are Hillsong and Elevation Worship π€πΆ (same and same πββοΈ). Like myself, she really enjoys Christian music π€©π. As for her favorite TV show? The Office! It’s a show she watches all the time.
I asked Catherine what God has been teaching her in this season and here’s what she shared:
“Right now I feel like God is teaching me a lot about being responsible and independent. It’s something I’m really lacking. Also I’ve been seeing a lot of answered prayers from years ago and it’s really opening up my heart and convicts me to keep going and fight the good fight of faith.”
Wow! What incredible words of encouragement from another one of my young friends π.
Catherine, thank you for taking time out of your busy work schedule and preparation time for college to share your story and to hang out with me! I love God’s unique creation in you π€. May the Lord continue to make Himself known to you in your next season. Keep fighting the good fight to remain faithful to Jesus above all else and you will surely see His faithfulness π throughout your life in big and small ways π€.
